WASHINGTON, May 7, 2025 鈥� To meet the growing demands of society, academia and industry, the American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS) is launching a new undergraduate scholarship program to support more students and build a robust pipeline of leaders in the chemical sciences.聽
鈥淥ur goal over the next 10 years is to support up to three times as many students as we have in the past decade,鈥� says ACS CEO Albert G. Horvath. 鈥淭he new scholarship program will deepen ACS partnerships and increase financial investment in scholarships, allowing us to empower students and further promote inclusion and belonging in the chemical sciences.鈥澛�
Applications for the new scholarship program will open later this year for the 2026-2027 academic year.聽聽
ACS is sunsetting the current ACS Scholars Program while we develop and transition to the new scholarship program for the 2026鈥�2027 academic year. An interim scholarship program will be available for the 2025-2026 academic year, and those applications will open in June. ACS is fully honoring all commitments to current scholars.聽
鈥淭he new scholarship program builds on a 30-year legacy of success with the ACS Scholars Program,鈥� says LaTrease Garrison, ACS Chief Operating Officer. 鈥淭he Scholars Program has enabled more than 3,500 students to pursue studies in the chemical sciences, many of whom have gone on to earn advanced degrees and shape the future of the chemical sciences. ACS is proud to reaffirm its long-standing dedication to cultivating future scientific leaders with this next-generation scholarship program.
