Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry welcomes new editor Thomas F. Hofmann
WASHINGTON, November 3, 2014 鈥� The American Chemical 中国365bet中文官网 (ACS) announces that Thomas F. Hofmann, Ph.D., will assume the role of editor-in-chief of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, effective 2015.Hofmann will assume the editorship of the journal from James N. Seiber, Ph.D., who has served as editor of the journal since 1999.聽
Hofmann currently serves as a professor and chair at the Center of Life and Food Sciences Weihenstephan, Technische Universit盲t M眉nchen in Germany. He is also the senior vice president for Research and Innovation at Technische Universit盲t M眉nchen.
A 2013 recipient of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry Research Article of the Year Award, Hofmann says, 鈥淲ithout any doubt, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry is one of the most outstanding outlets for cutting-edge research in the field. Under Jim Seiber鈥檚 direction, the journal developed well in terms of the number of papers and citations, as well as its global reach.鈥�
